PROCESSING
Clean and degrease the substrate
All surfaces to which the material will be applied must be
thoroughly cleaned from dust, grease or any
contamination. Use soapy water to remove the dust and
degrease with isopropylic alcohol.
Application
on flat or slightly curved surfaces
Apply TuningFilm Velvet with dry application method.
on convex or concave areas
Heat the film with a heat gun before conforming it over
the convex area.
Air temperature must be under 350°C, otherwise textile
fibres could be damaged.
on corrugated areas or rivets
If the film is stretched into a deep corrugation or
applied on a rivet, it may pop-out after a few weeks.
We therefore not recommend to cover these areas.
Car maintenance
Car covered with TuningFilm velvet can be cleaned by
going through a car wash or by using high pressure water
jet.
Removability
Once heated, TuningFilm Velvet is very easy to remove,
leaving almost no adhesive residue on car body.
Eventual adhesive residues can be removed with
isopropylic alcohol.
Removability is warranted only on original manufacturer
paint.
Important remark
Textile fibre colour may slightly vary from batch to batch.
We therefore not recommend mixing lot numbers on the
same job.
Compatibility with paints and lacquers should be tested by
the end-user, prior to use.
