Textile graphics film for printing on the Gerber EDGE. Offers excellent printability and washability on a variety of fabrics, including cotton, polyester and less standard polyamide substrates such as Nylon.

DESCRIPTION
Gerber Heat Transfer Textile Graphics Film is a thin, thermally-printable, white, opaque flex material
designed for printing on the GERBER EDGE
®
, GERBER EDGE 2, and GERBER EDGE FX™ thermaltransfer printers using standard GerberColor™ Spot and Process Pro™ foils. This product can be
contour cut into small shapes (because of the polyester backing) and offers excellent image quality and
washability on a wide variety of fabrics – not just standard substrates such as cotton and polyester, but
also substrates that would otherwise be more difficult to bond to, such as nylon and other polyamides.

PRINTING
Use Gerber Heat Transfer Textile Film settings when printing with the GERBER EDGE, GERBER EDGE
2, or GERBER EDGE FX thermal transfer printing systems.
GerberColor™ Spot (GCS) and GerberColor Process Pro™ CMYK (GCP) Series Foils can be used to
print onto Gerber Heat Transfer Textile Film.
Gerber standard tack application tape is recommended to be used as the transfer carrier for all printed
graphics.
Recommended working environment is as follows:
 Operating temperature: 50ºF to 95ºF / 10ºC to 35ºC
 Recommended temperature for assured printing accuracy: 68ºF to 78ºF / 20ºC to 26ºC
 Operating humidity: 20% to 90% relative humidity, non-condensing (maximum range;
actual range varies by material used)
CUTTING
Gerber Heat Transfer Textile Graphics Film can be cut on any 15-inch EDGE-compatible sprocketed
plotter. A 30° SuperSharp blade is recommended. Plotters can be set to full speed. A test cut should be
performed by the user to determine the proper tool force setting.
APPLICATION AND HANDLING TECHNIQUES
After weeding, apply application tape. Place the graphic on the fabric and transfer using a heat press set
to 329°F (165°C) for 13-15 seconds. Always use a Teflon™ sheet or a layer of silicone paper in the heat
press to prevent the graphic from sticking to the upper heat plate. If using application tapes that are not
recommended by Gerber, it is advisable to carry out a test before use.
Remove the application tape while the material is still warm as it will peel off easier than when cooled.
