The Lava Quattro-PCI offers four 16550 UART serial ports on a single PCI card. Ideal for point-of-sale (POS) system applications, it adds four additional COM ports to any PCI-equipped PC. Each port has a maximum data throughput rate of 115.2 kbps. Because of its PCI architecture, the Quattro-PCI allows IRQ sharing and automatically selects the next available IRQ and COM addresses

. Since all four ports share one PCI bus IRQ, even when accessed simultaneously, you save valuable resources for other expansion cards. With easy plug-and-play installation, it automatically selects the next available IRQ and COM address; just plug it in and go! With the Lava Quattro-PCI, you can connect a barcode scanner, credit card reader, cash drawer, and receipt printer to a single card by using a single IRQ.
