The Lava DSerial-PCI does just that by adding two additional COM ports to any PCI-equipped PC. It improves your data throughput rate while saving valuable ISA slot real estate. With dual 9-pin serial ports with 16550 UART, it supports data throughput rates up to 115.2 Kbps on each port, saves an ISA slot, and fully supports PCI IRQ sharing.
Because both ports share one PCI bus IRQ, even when accessed simultaneously, this card only requires one system IRQ and saves valuable resources for other expansion cards. With easy plug-and-play installation, it automatically selects the next available IRQ and COM address – just plug in and go!
