Physical Properties
The following information on physical and chemical characteristics is based upon tests believed
to be reliable. The values are intended only as a source of information. They are given without
guarantee and do not constitute a warranty. The purchaser should independently determine,
prior to use, the suitability of this material for his/her specific purpose. (Data represents averages
and is not intended for use as a specification).
Outdoor Durability:
7 years when properly processed and applied (vertical exposure (90° ± 10°), unprinted film).
Warranty coverage is defined as no appreciable deterioration in the product. Cracking, crazing,
blistering or loss of adhesion constitutes a breach of warranty if it occurs during the stated life of
the product.
Application Temperature: +50° F, +60° F for vehicle application
Service Temperature Range: Natural environmental temperature
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to most petroleum based oils, greases and aliphatic
solvents. Resistant to mild acids, alkalies and salt.
Typical Adhesion Values: 180° Peel Test Substrate 24 hrs
Stainless Steel 6.9 lbs/in
Note: Tested per ASTM 1000. Always pretest your specific
substrate prior to actual application.
Color Consistency:
Due to the nature of the retroreflective material, graphics comprised of multiple pieces of film
may show the perception of a color shift depending on the viewing angle and light source. This
is not considered a defect in the material. To minimize this effect, cut large letters from a continu
ous piece of material from adjacent portions of the rolls. Also, a small overlap (<25°) or no overlap
of the reflective film is recommended to maintain a consistent viewing angle.
Shelf Life: 1 year at temperatures under 73° F 50 ± 5% R.H.
Dimensional Stability: <0.03” shrinkage after 1000 hrs in Weathometer
Optical Properties: Reflective Intensity: Meets or exceeds L-S 300C Table II
(Reflectivity I, Class I). sMeets or exceeds FP-96 Type I and
ASTM D4956-94 Type I.
